ServiceNow CMDB
The computers in your CMDB and their software, monitored as ServiceNow knows them.
What the connector does
The ServiceNow connector reads the CMDB through the Table API with a read integration account: computers and installed software, from the SAM module or, without it, from software instances.
What comes into TechWatchAlert
- CMDB computers: name, OS, address, serial number
- Software installed on each, with its version
Setup
- In ServiceNow, create a “Web service access only” user with the “cmdb_read” role (and “sam_user” with SAM)
- In TechWatchAlert, enter the instance address, the account and its password
- Save, then run a first sync
