What the connector does
The Azure connector reads the software inventory from Change Tracking & Inventory in your Log Analytics workspace. It covers Azure virtual machines and Azure Arc-connected servers that send their inventory there.
What comes into TechWatchAlert
- Software (name, version, publisher) seen by the inventory over the last two days
- Each machine in the workspace, in the fleet
- Only products known to CVEs, added to the stack and removed when they disappear
- Alerts on secret expiry and pending admin consent
Setup
- Enable Change Tracking & Inventory to a Log Analytics workspace
- Register a Microsoft Entra ID application, create a secret and grant it the “Log Analytics Reader” role on the workspace
- In TechWatchAlert, enter the tenant, application ID, workspace ID and secret
