TechWatchAlert agent (Windows, Linux, macOS)
A lightweight agent that reports the inventory and missing updates of every workstation and server.
What the connector does
The TechWatchAlert agent installs on Windows, Linux and macOS, on x64 and ARM. It continuously reports the machine's inventory and missing updates, and can apply what you decide from the Fleet: updates, reboots, software installs or uninstalls. It calls the server, with no port opened on the machine.
What comes into TechWatchAlert
- The machine's full inventory, with recognized software added to the monitored stack
- Missing updates: Windows Update and winget; apt, dnf/yum and zypper; softwareupdate and Homebrew
- Security configuration, checked read-only and graded A to E, with CIS and STIG references
- The machines exposed to each CVE alert
- Depending on the plan, remote actions and ring-based update deployments
- Offline mode (agent 1.4.0 or later) for networks without internet access: the machine never connects, the collection is encrypted and signed on site, transferred as a file and then imported; no remote action is sent to these machines
Setup
- In Fleet › Agents, create an enrollment token (shown only once)
- Run the provided command as administrator or with sudo: it downloads the agent, verifies its integrity and installs it as a service
- Or download the binaries to deploy via GPO, Intune, an MDM or a script
