TechWatchAlert
Ticketing

Jira

A complete Jira ticket for every CVE to fix, without copying a single line, and its status flowing back into the case.

What the connector does

Add Jira Cloud or Data Center to a project's ticketing tools and open a ticket from an alert's page, or automatically through a workflow. The ticket carries everything needed to act: severity, EPSS, exploitation, component, fixed versions and a link back. Its status comes back into the case through a signed webhook, and through regular re-reads.

What comes into TechWatchAlert

  • One ticket per CVE and per project, never two, with severity, EPSS, exploitation, component, fixed versions and description
  • A task checklist and a link back to the alert; the issue type and labels of your choice
  • The status in the case: ticket resolved, the case moves to “Fixed”, pending verification by the inventory; ticket rejected, you are offered an exception
  • Optionally, the ticket commented and moved to “Done” once the fix is verified

Setup

  1. In the project settings, Integrations › Ticketing tools, add Jira
  2. Enter the instance address, the Jira project key, the account email and its API token (or a personal access token for Data Center), then “Test and save”
  3. Optional: create the webhook in Jira with the address and secret provided by TechWatchAlert, for an immediate status return
