Trivy

Your Trivy reports uploaded by CI and checked against your cases, on every build.

What the connector does

TechWatchAlert reads Trivy JSON reports, on an image or a repository, and checks each CVE found against the project's tracking. A ready-to-copy GitHub Actions template runs Trivy and uploads the report on every push.

What comes into TechWatchAlert

  • CVEs found, with component, installed version and fixed version
  • GHSA vulnerabilities linked to their CVE when they cite it
  • Unconfirmed fixes and untracked CVEs
  • Dated evidence of each scan

Setup

  1. Generate the report: trivy image --format json -o trivy.json <image>
  2. Import it into Stack › Scans, or copy the GitHub Actions template or the command for another CI
  3. For CI, create an organization API key holding the “Scan upload” permission
