What the connector does

TechWatchAlert reads Greenbone and OpenVAS XML reports, downloaded from GSA or retrieved over GMP. Purely informational findings and false positives declared in Greenbone are ignored.

What comes into TechWatchAlert

  • Hosts, ports and checks (OID) from the report
  • One row per cited CVE
  • Unconfirmed fixes and untracked CVEs
  • False positives declared in Greenbone, excluded automatically

Setup

  1. Download the report as XML (GSA: Download › XML, or get_reports over GMP)
  2. Import it into the project's Stack › Scans
  3. Or automate the upload via the API (for example with gvm-cli) and a key holding the “scans” permission
